10-Second Bio: Trish Hare

Title: Associate Director, Academic Affairs Division Office
Department/Unit:
Academic Affairs Division; Provost’s Immediate Office
Location: 12th floor Franklin
How long I’ve been with UCOP:
Three years (26 at UCB)
What I do for OP in five words or less: coordinate, strategize, review, advise, catalyst
The best part about working for OP:
Seeing the bigger picture
Something you don’t know about me: I love Cajun and zydeco dancing.
One weird fact about the town I grew up in:
In 1639, the Rev. Peter Prudden purchased the land for Orange, Connecticut, from the Indians for six coats, ten blankets, one kettle, twelve hatchets, twelve hoes, two dozen knives and a dozen small mirrors.
If I could have any job in the world (besides the one I have now), I would be: A coordinator for a large philanthropic agency that funds university research.   I could keep abreast of the cutting edge research, would continually learn, and help move the university’s research endeavors forward.
