About Your Newsletter

We hope you’re enjoying your new UCOP newsletter. We want to make sure you’re getting the most out it, so there are some things we’d like to share:

There are few main purposes of this newsletter.

  • Keep UCOP staff informed of important UCOP and University-wide news and events.
  • Provide a vehicle for UCOP staff to learn about and engage with each other and leadership.
  • Highlight the important work of UCOP employees in support of UC’s mission and the Office of the President.
  • Build community, connection and a sense of shared pride among UCOP staff.

A new phase in UCOP communications.
Previously, we sent out weekly text emails to keep you informed about organizational changes, news and events, and other items. This led to a lot of individual, and sometimes overlapping, news items, not to mention a full inbox. With this newsletter, we’ll be phasing out all those individual emails and instead, get information to you in one tidy little place—your new UCOP newsletter.

You can count on your newsletter being updated every Monday and you’ll get an email reminding you it’s ready.

You (finally) have a centralized UCOP calendar.
For some time, many of you have been asking for a centralized UCOP calendar, and now you have one! This slick function will serve as the hub for all of the activities and events happening in and around UCOP. Be sure to check it regularly to see what’s going on. If your department is hosting an event, we encourage you to submit the information to be included in the calendar. To find out more about this, visit our calendar site. (link to site)

Your feedback matters.
Because this newsletter is for and about UCOP staff, we want your input and views. We’d love to hear what’s going on in your department, we want to know interesting stories about our colleagues, and we want to know what topics you’d like to learn more about. If you have ideas, simply email UCNews@UCOP.edu.

And since this newsletter provides a forum for dialogue, we encourage you to do just that—converse with your colleagues. You can share ideas, questions and feedback in the comment sections below each article or in Open Forum.

Finally, we also want you to help us name it – come on, this is your shot at having your creative name in the spotlight (or at least on the web). Please take a couple minutes to fill out this quick survey.

Thanks!

Have Something To Say ?

I find that the content font is a bit too small in the email issued newsletter announcement. Also the grey lettering in the articles could be a tone or two darker.
