May 24 UCOP Town Hall to be webcast
The Town Hall meeting will be held in the Elihu Harris State Office Building auditorium at 15th & Clay Streets in downtown Oakland. Attend in person or watch via webcast at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/uc-events.
As with previous town halls, there will be a morning session for Kaiser Center employees and an afternoon session for Franklin Street and Treasurer’s Office employees; 20th Street employees may attend either session. Meeting times are as follows:
Kaiser Center employees
9:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Franklin Street and Treasurer’s Office employees
1:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The event, which is being held in collaboration with the UCOP Staff Assembly, is intended to give staff the opportunity to hear more about and discuss the budget situation and some of the other major challenges – and opportunities – the University is facing. The event is also intended to provide a forum for the OP community to talk about how working within the new structure is going. The OP Staff Assembly would like to encourage staff to submit questions for the president prior to the town hall. Please send your questions to: firstname.lastname@example.org
For those UCOP employees outside the Oakland area or who are unable to attend the meeting in person, UCOP will provide a live, webcast of the event. If you are unable to participate in person or via live webcast, an archived tape will remain available at the same web address: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/uc-events/.
**REMINDER: The State building now requires visitors to go through security screening.
