In search of a terrific gift? Or a unique treat for your holiday gatherings? The President’s Blend Olive Oil is a healthy and delicious option. You can pre-order the President’s Blend Olive Oil at a discounted price through Monday, Dec. 6 – $12/bottle or $130/case (12 bottles).

Pre-orders will be available for pick-up at the unveiling of the President’s Blend Olive Oil – Thursday, Dec. 16, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Franklin Building lobby – in an event hosted by the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR).

President Yudof selected the blend of extra virgin olive oil himself. Come join your colleagues for the unveiling and taste a sample.

How to place your pre-order

Send or deliver a check payable to the “UC Regents” to Lorrie Mandoriao, Room 10202, Franklin Building, or Julie Drouyor, Room 10204, Franklin Building (ANR, 1111 Franklin St., Oakland, CA 94607).

This special discounted price per case saves you $14 on pre-orders for pick-up on Dec. 16 only. Future orders will be at full price and can be purchased online from the UC Davis bookstore in late December or early January. All proceeds benefit the UC Davis Olive Center.

You can also purchase a 250 ml bottle at the Dec. 16 unveiling event, but supplies are limited.

Don’t miss the festivities! Join us at the UCOP holiday party on Wednesday, Dec. 15, in the Franklin Building. All UCOP employees are invited to attend. The event is being made possible through personal donations from UCOP managers.

In the morning, from 8-9 a.m., enjoy a hot cider and and the sounds of the OP Singers, who will be serenading in the lobby. Starting at 2:30 p.m., take a stroll on floors 5, 6 and 12 in Franklin for the Holiday Faire, where you’ll find scrumptious snacks, delicious desserts and lively decorations. President Yudof will again be picking a winner for the floor with the best holiday decorations.

There are still ornaments for the Giving Tree from First Place for Youth requesting gift cards for various stores. There are no specified amounts, but it was suggested that $25 or more would be very much appreciated. The ornaments are at the OGC reception desk. Please sign up and take a corresponding tag and return it to Gloria (8320D) by Wednesday, Dec. 15.

First Place Fund for Youth, recipients of the Annual Giving Tree

The First Place Fund for Youth are the recipients of the annual Giving Tree project. The mission of the First Place Fund is to provide transitional assistance to young people (16-23 years old) leaving foster care programs. Many of these young people are setting up individual households for the first time; others have young families of their own. Some of the services provided by the First Place Fund are: financial management, weekly life skills training, economic literacy training, monthly food vouchers, transportation assistance, etc.
