UC Business Officer Institute: Nominations due Aug. 21

The UC Business Officer Institute (BOI) offers UC business officers a unique development opportunity. The annual event is a four-day residential program for UC business officers that offers plenary sessions and small group discussions exploring workplace issues.

The 2013 BOI takes place Monday, Oct. 21, through Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Irvine Marriott in Irvine. Registration takes place between 4 and 6 p.m. Monday, and the program concludes 4 p.m. Thursday.

A strong candidate for BOI has “broad decision-making and/or supervisory responsibility or accountability for budget, finance, internal controls, human resources, systems or sponsored projects” and at least six months of full-time UC service. Candidates must be classified at the Professional and Support Staff (PSS) or Managers and Senior Professionals (MSP) level and not previously have attended a BOI session.
