Stay healthy this winter: Get your flu shot at UCOP

UCOP’s 2013 Flu Shot Clinic is coming to Franklin this Thursday, Oct. 31, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in room 10325.

This convenient service will be provided by nursing staff from UC Berkeley’s University Health Services at Tang Center, who will administer the seasonal flu vaccine, which includes H1N1, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost is $25, payable by check only, made out to University Health Systems. (Note that payment by cash and credit card cannot be accepted.) You will be provided with a receipt, which is reimbursable by most health insurers.

Please complete the consent form (link will take you to the Risk Management home page; go to the bottom right for form) in advance and have it ready when you arrive at the clinic, along with your payment. Be sure to wear loose clothing that day.

All Oakland- and Berkeley-based UCOP staff are eligible for this service, including contractors, friends and family over the age of 16.

The flu clinic is sponsored by UCOP’s Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program. For questions about this or other EHS programs, contact Janine Crocker at (510) 987-9882 or janine.crocker@ucop.edu.

More information on the influenza vaccine can be found on the CDC’s vaccine information statement.
