Edgar De Los Angeles (in cap) was one of many volunteers who helped UCOP Pride’s Feb. 14 sale raise funds for a good cause.

The results are in . . . UCOP Pride’s 2014 Valentine’s Day Supply Station fundraiser raised a total of $1,020 for local charity, far exceeding its goal and supplying UCOP staff with treats for their valentines and loved ones.

Pride members Raul Moreno and Carolina Reyes organized the event, which featured fresh flowers and candies and the option to build your own bouquets and goody jars.

All proceeds were donated to the Rainbow Community Center, a Contra Costa County organization that serves LGBT youth, seniors and people living with HIV/AIDS. It also promotes greater acceptance for the LGBT community. Unrestricted funding in the amount of $510 went to RCC’s Youth Program and Women with Chronic Illness.

UCOP Pride thanks all its volunteers and supporters for making the event a success.
