Lean In this Thursday, Aug. 7: The myth of doing it all

Join this month’s conversation about empowering women in the workplace with the next session of the Lean In series: The myth of doing it all.

Lean In book coverFeel free to bring your lunch to this facilitated conversation from 12 to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, in Franklin Lobby 1. (Click on the link to add this event to your Outlook calendar.)

The series is inspired by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg’s bestseller, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead. The event is open to all men and women in the UCOP community, and you don’t need to read the book to participate.

This month’s topics will include:

  • Do you focus on perfection or just getting it done?
  • What boundaries have you set for yourself or what have you given up?
  • Letting go of myths
  • Should we try to do it all?

The President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (PACSW) sponsors and facilitates the event each month focusing on the topics raised in different chapters of the book. Facilitating this month’s conversation will be PACSW member Mary Croughan.

Check the Link calendar or the PACSW Lean In page for remaining dates for the monthly sessions through October.

You can register in advance for any or all of them through the UC Learning Center to assure yourself a spot; just search for Lean In to enroll in any session.
