Franklin lobby floor to be refinished

That spotless marble and granite in the Franklin lobby is lovely to look at, but it’s hazardous, especially when it’s wet. To help keep UCOP employees safe from falls, the surface will be honed to make it more slip resistant, rain or shine.
Employees shouldn’t be inconvenienced. The work will take place at night, from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m., from March 16 through March 27. Walkways will be clearly marked during the work for anyone who needs to be in the building after hours.
