eAppraisal now open for employee self-appraisals

It’s now officially performance appraisal season, time for UCOP employees to complete their self-appraisals.

This is your opportunity to reflect and get feedback on accomplishments, areas needing improvement and goals for the coming year.

The eAppraisal website is open, and UCOP employees can now complete their self-appraisals through July 10. To begin, select Halogen login in the right column. This year, you can use your AD login ID and password to sign in; there is no need to remember the separate Halogen ID and password you created last year. In some cases, departments set earlier deadlines; employees should follow their department’s timeline.

Reviews should cover performance in the fiscal year from July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015, and you and your supervisor should set goals for the next nine months. UCOP is transitioning to an April 1 to March 31 annual review cycle, so the 2015-16 cycle will be shorter. Departments should plan to have all employee reviews completed by Monday, Aug. 31.

The Performance Management website has a wealth of information to help employees participate in the process, including links to online eAppraisal tutorials, Quick Facts, tools, FAQs and policies. UCOP Human Resources also is offering in-person classes for employees and managers to learn more about the performance appraisal:
