February travel clinic: Rental cars

Rental cars and other forms of transportation are the focus of the Business Resource Center’s Feb. 16 clinic on UC’s travel and entertainment expense policies and reimbursement process.

This month’s clinic will cover UC agreements with vendors, charges that are reimbursable (or not), how to get an adjustment to your bill and getting insurance. There will be a brief discussion on when it is better to rent a car, and when it is better to use some other mode of transportation – taxis, Uber, etc.

The hour-long interactive session will be led by Mark Lozano, travel and entertainment team lead in the BRC, and his team will facilitate. Express users, proxies, travelers and reviewers are welcome.

The monthly clinics take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Franklin 9204. If you’re at a remote location, dial into ReadyTalk at 866-740-1260; the access code is 9870941. The schedule of upcoming clinics is as follows:

March 21: Conference registration and business purpose
April 18: Odds and Ends: A little bit of lots of things

If you have questions about the clinics, please email BRC Audit Team.
