Fall session of WorkFit program begins this week with a free trial

WorkFit is giving you more bang for your buck!

Beginning with the fall session that started on Monday, Aug. 22, WorkFit registrants will now receive an extra three weeks of classes included in the registration cost. And the first week is free so you can try it out. Register today for a fun, easy and convenient way to stay fit through the fall.

UCOP employees have three membership options for the Fall 2016 session:

  • Full session: $60 for access to unlimited classes from Aug. 22 to Dec. 16
  • Half session I: $35 for access to unlimited classes from Aug. 22 to Oct. 14
  • Half session II: $35 for access to unlimited classes from Oct. 17 to Dec. 16

Family and friends (age 18+) are welcome to join for just $80 for the full session and $45 for each half session.

All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged!

Your membership allows you to attend as many classes as you like at both the Franklin and Kaiser buildings. So you can try different types of exercise until you find the one you like, or attend different classes to vary your workout. (Note: After the first week of the fall session, instructors will ask to see your registration card, so be sure to bring it with you to every class you attend.)

About the classes:

  • Circuit Training focuses on building strength, flexibility and endurance through a series of exercises using items such as weights and stability balls.
  • Crazy About Core will help strengthen the body’s center through a combination of mat work, resistance exercise, Pilates, yoga and more.
  • Stretch and Release is all about stretching techniques (including yoga), trigger-point muscle release and self-massage – all focused on relieving pain and increasing mobility.
  • Yoga cultivates strength, balance and flexibility through a series of fluid movements.
  • Zumba is a cardio dance workout to the beat of Latin music.
