January pay date and other important tips and reminders

A mix of new and previously announced tips and reminders, some of which may require action on your part:

New UCPath feature
Check out a new feature on the UCPath portal: The UCPath Help site provides user help and access to all training materials, including step-by-step simulations and job aids for the activities you perform in UCPath. Click on UCPath Help job aid to learn about the new feature.

Updated “Where to Go” guide
Unsure where you need to go for different benefits and employment transactions? The updated “Where to Go” guide can be downloaded or printed out for easy reference. The good news is that most transactions can be completed on UCPath‘s self-service portal, which is available 24/7!

January pay dates
For employees paid monthly, the pay date for December 2016 earnings will be Jan. 3, 2017 (since Jan. 2 is a bank holiday). For employees paid biweekly, the first pay date of 2017 will be Jan. 11.

Flexible Savings Account (FSA) funds
Remember to use your FSA funds as required or those funds may be lost. For more information, please click here.

W-4 allowances
We encourage you to review your current W-4 allowances on UCPath (under Income and Taxes) and update them as needed. As a reminder, the IRS requires a new W-4 if your allowances change in 2017.

UCPath Center (UCPC) holiday schedule
The UCPath Center (UCPC) follows the UCOP holiday calendar and so will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan. 2, 2017. However, you will be able to access UCPath online during the closure and perform self-serve transactions on the site.
