1100 Broadway update: Informational brown bags, groundbreaking and more

As we announced last year, UCOP has signed a lease for space in a new building to be constructed at 1100 Broadway. The building is expected to become available for move-in by early 2020.

We’re excited to announce the following developments in this project:

  • A formal groundbreaking ceremony will take place on the building site on Friday, Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. Attendance at this event is limited to invited officials and guests.
  • Construction activities will begin on Monday, Jan. 22. On that date, the pathway leading from the Franklin building to Broadway will be closed. That same day, a new exit pathway for OP staff will be opened from the west end of the Franklin lobby hallway onto 11th Street, using the current emergency exit pathway.
