Come to the APISA Lunar New Year Potluck on Feb. 15

Happy Lunar New Year! All UCOP staff is invited to celebrate the Year of the Dog with a festive potluck and a special speaker at the Asian Pacific Islander Staff Association’s (APISA) annual potluck.

Learn how mindfulness can reduce stress in the workplace and in your daily life. Speaker Michele Ku is a longtime mindfulness teacher at Kaiser Oakland and the East Bay Meditation Center.

Date: Thursday, Feb. 15
Time: 12 to 1 p.m.
Location: Franklin 5320

Please bring a dish to share (enough for six to eight people).

Lunar New Year is an event that is celebrated by Asians around the world. The Vietnamese call it Tet and the Chinese call it the spring festival. There are many traditions and rituals associated with this event, such as wearing new clothing or the color red to symbolize the beginning of a new year and to attract good luck.
