Free walking tours of downtown Oakland showcase history, changes

Interested in learning more about downtown Oakland’s history, landmarks and changing skyline?

On Saturdays from now through October, the city of Oakland is offering free, 90-minute walking tours to showcase the city’s historical landmarks and evolving skyline. Tours are led by a volunteer guide and reservations are recommended, but not required.

Below are upcoming Saturday tour dates, all of which start at 10 a.m. For the full schedule, tour descriptions and to reserve a spot, visit the city’s Oakland Tours webpage.

 

Old Oakland
