Apply today: Staff Professional Development Awards

The OP Staff Assembly (OPSA) works to promote the interest and welfare of all UCOP employees – in all UCOP locations. Members of this volunteer group have created a Staff Professional Development Program that provides contract and career employees with funding to pursue professional development.

Last November, OPSA held its first-ever holiday poinsettia sale in the Franklin building, which was a fundraiser to support staff professional development. The event generated positive energy and a spirit of collaboration amongst employees during this festive time of the year.

Thanks to participants’ generosity, the fundraiser raised $1,500. This money will be given back to UCOP staff who wish to apply for a Professional Development Award. Awards can be used to help pay for conferences, classes, books, or other professional development opportunities.

Applications are accepted through March 31. Employees from all UCOP locations are welcome to participate. Download the application.

The selection committee will review submissions in April and awardees will be announced at a staff appreciation event in early May.
