On Friday, May 3, the OP Staff Assembly (OPSA) and Employee Engagement and Diversity Group (EEDG) invite you to join them for the Spring 2019 Staff Appreciation Event. Festivities will take place from 12-2 p.m. on the fifth-floor Franklin Roof Garden.

May the Fourth

As everyone in the galaxy knows, May 4 (“May the Fourth”) is International Star Wars Day. As this special day falls on a Saturday this year, UCOP is celebrating the preceding Friday. There is no better way to promote staff appreciation and life/work balance than by getting together for a delicious potluck lunch and showing our gratitude for the true “stars” of the UC Office of the President, our beloved colleagues.

Something for everyone

This lively celebration will include a variety of activities to build camaraderie and unite employees around our shared organizational culture. Join in the fun!

• Potluck lunch
  Bring your favorite modest potluck lunch dish to share. OPSA and EEGD will provide beverages and treats!
• Live entertainment
  OP Staff member DreTek 20 will share a live musical performance. Plus, EEDG colleagues will present a Gratitude Grand Slam — live readings of spring seasonal Gratitude Grams.
• Costume contest
  Dress up as your favorite Star Wars character! A costume contest will award first-, second- and third-place prizes for the best Star Wars costume.
• Networking and career development opportunities
  Meet and greet representatives of the many OP staff affinity groups as you socialize, enjoy delicious food and feel “the Force” flowing through you. OPSA will share information about their Professional Development Program and get everyone ready for the upcoming OP Staff Assembly Steering Committee Elections.
