Yvette Gullatt and Merideth Mehlberg host UC’s first LinkedIn Live

Earlier this year, LinkedIn launched a beta platform, LinkedIn Live — its first-ever live-video broadcast service (learn more). UC was invited to be part of this beta platform, and we’re kicking things off with our first live broadcast on Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 2–2:30 p.m., in partnership with the UC Alumni Career Network.

Vice Provost Yvette Gullatt will host a conversation themed, “Discovering a Meaningful Second-Act Career,” featuring Merideth Mehlberg, executive coach and CEO of the Merideth Mehlberg Group.

Mehlberg will provide seasoned professional advice for those who are:

  • Interested in combining their passion with a purpose they care about
  • Thinking about transitioning careers
  • Looking for a way to apply skills and expertise towards a more meaningful avenue

UC Berkeley alumna Mehlberg is an executive coach, career strategist, writer and and CEO of the Merideth Mehlberg Group. About Yvette Gullatt

Yvette Gullatt has more than 20 years of experience in diversity and institutional equity leadership. She currently serves as vice provost for Diversity and Engagement and interim vice president for Student Affairs for the UC system. In these roles she provides strategic leadership and advice for translating UC’s vision of inclusive excellence into sustainable policies, practices and programs.

Gullatt leads UC-wide efforts to foster equitable campus climates for faculty, students and staff; oversees programs and services that enhance the accessibility of college degrees, including pre-college academic preparation and teacher professional development programs; and is responsible for systemwide policy and practice related to freshman and transfer admissions, undergraduate and graduate campus life and student financial support.

Gullatt has Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley; her research interests include early African-American life writing and Afro-Christian discourses of community development and nationalism.
