Take note of these important dates and reminders for December and January regarding monthly paychecks, taxes, your 2016 benefits and more.

Individuals who are registered for insurance receive numerous benefits, including medical expense coverage, lost document assistance, and 24/7 monitoring of current travel alerts.

Winter holidays will be observed this year on Dec. 24 and 25, and New Year holidays will be observed on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, but UCOP offices will be closed from Thursday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 3.

UCOP offices will be closed for Thanksgiving (Nov. 26-27). Over winter break, offices will be closed Dec. 24-Jan. 3.

Have you reviewed and updated your medical and other benefits for 2016? Today is your last chance. If you don't take action, your benefits will remain the same for the coming year.

As previously announced, the Time Reporting System (TRS) is being upgraded as UCOP prepares to transition to UCPath later this month. There are important deadlines this week for biweekly employees and supervisors.

Starting in January, each floor in Franklin will have two drops for incoming and outgoing mail, one in each of the two large copy workrooms.

UCOP will begin using UCPath for pay and other HR-related activities on Nov. 30. If you need to make changes regarding your December paycheck, you must do so by Nov. 17 (for monthly employees) or Nov. 19 (for biweekly employees).

Open Enrollment runs through 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24. This is your opportunity to review your UC benefits to make sure you have the best coverage.
