Brown bag: From Black Panthers to Black Lives Matter

As part of Black History Month, the Black Staff and Faculty Organization (BSFO) as well as the Academic Senate and Diversity and Engagement are sponsoring this brown bag talk by Sean Malloy, Associate Professor of History at UC Merced. Light refreshments will be served.

Sean L. Malloy is an Associate Professor of History and Cri􀆟cal Race and Ethnic Studies (CRES) at the University of California, Merced. He is the author of Atomic Tragedy: Henry L. S􀆟mson and the Decision to Use the Bomb Against Japan (Cornell University Press, 2008) as well as ar􀆟cles dealing with nuclear targe􀆟ng in World War II, the radia􀆟on effects of the atomic bomb, and the Cold War interna􀆟onalism of Eldridge Cleaver. His most recent book, Out of Oakland: The Black Panther Party, the Third World, and the World is forthcoming from Cornell University Press in spring 2017. 
