DESCRIPTION:This dynamic\, interactive training program is designed specifically for UC staff. Through a hands-on group simulation\, you’ll explore essential process improvement concepts and methodologies that can be directly applied to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in your daily work. Key Features: \n\nImmersive learning experience using the DMAIC model (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control)\nPractical application of value stream mapping\, Lean 5S\, and data analysis tools\nReal-time implementation of Lean Six Sigma concepts\nTailored examples relevant to UC Office of the President\n\nUpon completion of this course\, participants will: \n\nUnderstand Lean Six Sigma common language\nGain proficiency in applying process improvement tools across various UC settings\nDevelop skills to identify and eliminate “Non-Value Added” activities and “Waste” in university processes\nUnderstand the impact of imprecise information on process improvement initiatives\nLearn to measure and analyze data to uncover opportunities for enhancing UC operations\nIncorporate “Voice of Customer” principles into improvement projects\nAcquire hands-on experience with tools such as:\n\nRun Charts and Histograms\nVoice of the customer\nValue Stream Mapping (VSM)\nFuture state planning\n\n\n\nParticipants who successfully complete the course will be certified as Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt practitioners\, equipped to apply their new skills and tools to drive efficiencies within the UC Office of the President. \nA certificate will be available at the training and reflected in the LMS.
