DESCRIPTION:Starting a new job or new location can be daunting. The UCOP New Employee Orientation is designed to facilitate a smooth transition to the organization. Topics include: \n\nUniversity of California and our history\nOverview of UCOP and the organization\nTools and Resources\nSafety\nCompliance\n\nAll UCOP employees are encouraged to attend a session as soon as possible following their date of hire. Hybrid Oakland employees are expected to attend the live sessions. Virtual orientation dates are only available to UC Path\, UCDC\, Sacramento and fully remote employees. \nNote: Eligible employees must sign up for health insurance and disability benefits within their period of initial eligibility (PIE)\, which is thirty-one days from the date of eligibility for benefits\, regardless of when they attend the orientation session.
