DESCRIPTION:Being prepared and aware of your surroundings may be your best defense against crime. Come to a presentation about personal safety on Thursday\, July 5\, to learn how you can protect yourself\, whether you’re at or near work or just out-and-about. \nDuring the first half of the presentation\, UC Police Corporal Wade MacAdam will share recommendations for things you can do to stay safe from theft and robbery\, including when you’re outside the office. \nDuring the second half of the presentation\, MacAdam will discuss how UC Police Department’s SWAT team responds to situations in which there is an attacker\, and suggest measures that you can consider to protect yourself in various environments\, including at movie theaters or concerts. \nThis presentation is sponsored by UCOP Building Administration and Services.
