SUMMARY:UCOP Community Conversation
DESCRIPTION:The horrific recent shootings in Buffalo\, Houston\, Laguna Woods and Milwaukee this past month have left us with yet another reminder of institutionalized racism and the violence that Black and other marginalized communities continue to endure in the United States. \nThere is a vast range of emotions that affect us as humans\, as colleagues and as members of the UCOP community\, as we bring all our lived experiences to work. We are inviting all members of the UCOP community to join us in a conversation about these recent events and our responsibilities to ourselves and with each other as members of the UC community. \nThe goal of these conversations is to offer a safe space marked by kindness and compassion\, where we can share thoughts\, feelings and perspectives and listen to each other’s voices.
