DESCRIPTION:BSFO Film Premieres\nJoin the Black Staff and Faculty Organization (BSFO) in viewing films from the San Francisco Black Film Festival (SBFF) during Black History Month! \n“Pushing Skills”\nA street-smart hustler uses his invention to give people extraordinary skills for few hours but finds himself in trouble when the wrong people hear about it. (Run time: 15 minutes) \n \n“Jabari Keating”\nUpon making a life altering decision\, Jabari Keating is a candid first person narrative film that explores his personal reflections\, life experiences and trials and tribulations as an African American in present day America. (Run time: 10 minutes) \n \nAbout the SBFF\nThe SBFF’s mission is to celebrate African-American cinema and the African cultural diaspora\, while showcasing a diverse collection of (short and full-length feature) films from emerging and established filmmakers. This is accomplished by presenting back films\, which reinforce positive images and dispel negative stereotypes.
