DESCRIPTION:The People Leaders Forum is a monthly opportunity for people managers to connect with one another to develop leadership skills\, build community\, share best practices\, swap strategies for navigating current challenges and learn to better support themselves and their teams. \n\nApril 24: Talent Insight process – Uncovering potential\, planning for the future! In this session we will introduce you to the Talent Insight process that helps departments put the right people in the right roles at the right time. This process is supported by the Organization Development team and guided by thoughtful planning\, collaborative strategy\, and a strong culture of development. The four-stage cycle: Assess\, Develop\, Implement\, & Review provides a framework for departments to create a 1–3 year plan tailored to their evolving talent and workforce needs.\nMay 29: Employee Relations 101 Karen Arnold\, Director\, HR Business Partner and Shannon Brooks\, Director of UCOP Leaves and Accommodations and Karen Arnold\,  will discuss Employee Relations foundational knowledge and strategies needed to effectively handle workplace issues. They will share best practices for addressing employee concerns\, managing performance and conduct issues\, and fostering a fair\, respectful work environment. The session also covers legal and policy considerations\, documentation basics\, and when to involve HR.   \nJune 26:  Supporting Employees Navigate Change & Transition:  In this session\, Oscar Lara will explore the human response to change and stages within the transition process\, and provide managers with strategies to support employees to successfully navigate through personal and professional changes.\nJuly 31st : TBD\nAugust:  Coaching Employees to Success\nSept 25: Recruitment Tips and the use of AI\nOctober 30:  Managing Peers\nDecember:  TBD\n\n
