She has a bachelor’s degree in English from UC Davis and a master’s degree from Syracuse University’s Creative Writing Program. She writes about healthcare information technology and lives in El Cerrito with her husband and two children. DESCRIPTION:The UCOP Latino Staff Association (LaSA) will be holding a tamale sale to raise funds to support the non-profit Chicana/Latina Foundation (CLF). The mission of CLF is to empower Chicanas/Latinas through personal\, educational and professional advancement. Each year CLF awards merit-based scholarships of $1\,500 each to Latina college students. \nUCOP staff can pre-order their tamales online through Wednesday\, Dec. 7. The pre-cooked and ready-to-eat tamales are available with your choice of a chicken\, pork or chile cheese filling and are $3 each\, $15 for six\, or $30 for a dozen.
