DESCRIPTION:Registration is required. Link will be emailed to UCOP employees the week of Oct. 19. \nPresident Milliken invites UCOP staff to join him for the next installment in the President’s Leadership Conversations series\, featuring UC Riverside Chancellor S. He brings nearly four decades of experience in academic leadership\, research\, and innovation. Before joining UCR\, he served as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the University of Georgia and vice president for research at the University of Michigan\, where he oversaw a $1.5 billion research enterprise. A leader in manufacturing science\, he has advanced research in assembly systems\, materials joining and quality control\, with support from more than $46 million in funding and 10 U.S. patents. \nThe conversation will explore Chancellor Hu’s personal and leadership journeys\, the role of research and innovation in public higher education\, and the opportunities and challenges facing UC and its campuses.
