Yvett is the Academy Award-winning producer of “Encanto\,” and the first Latina to receive the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. \nSince arriving at Walt Disney Animation Studios more than 25 years ago\, Yvett has worked on an array of popular features and was a founding member of Voces@Disney\, the studio’s first Latinx Employee Resource Group. \nA UC Santa Barbara alum\, with a degree in sociology\, she first pursued a career in social work before venturing into the world of animation. Today\, she lives with her family in Los Angeles\, CA.\, where she helps movie magic come to life as a producer. \nWe encourage you to watch “Encanto” before the event and come learn more about Yvett’s background\, experience working on the film\, her biggest influences\, and much more.
