DESCRIPTION:Open Enrollment begins on Oct. 26 this year. Attending an Open Enrollment Fair is your chance to meet with UC medical plan vendors including Anthem\, Health Equity\, Health Net Blue & Gold\, Kaiser\, UC Care and Western Health Advantage\, as well as Delta Dental and Vision Service Plan. \nOther UC benefit plans that will be represented at the Fair include ARAG (legal plan)\, WageWorks (formerly Conexis\, flexible spending accounts)\, Optum (behavioral health) and Fidelity Retirement Services\, as well as supplemental insurance providers California Casualty and Prudential. \nIn Oakland\, flu shots will be available free of charge (for employees only). The flu shots are sponsored by Kaiser Permanente\, but you don’t have to be a Kaiser member to participate.

SUMMARY:Women We Admire: Glenda Humiston
DESCRIPTION:Glenda Humiston was appointed vice president of UC Agriculture and Natural Resources on Aug. 3\, 2015. She became publisher and CEO in 2004. In 2010\, she was named chairman and CEO of the parent company and led the successful transition of the business into a highly regarded multi-media content provider of news and information important to the Latino community. \nLozano’s talk is part of the Women We Admire series\, initiated by the President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (PACSW) in 2009.
