Please bring a dish to share for 6-8 people as well as your ideas for events you’d like to see at UCOP in the coming year. \nBesides enjoying delicious food and the company of your co-workers\, you’ll have the chance to learn more about the meaning of Diwali\, a festival which celebrates the power of light to take away darkness\, for good to triumph over evil\, and for hope to conquer despair. It is an ancient Hindu festival that is celebrated every year in Nepal\, India\, Pakistan\, Myanmar\, Sri Lanka and many other countries. During the celebration\, millions of lights are displayed on housetops\, temples and other buildings.
