$25

The Climate Solutions Summit will be hosted by UC Irvine at the Beckman Center on Wednesday, May 30. The UC community is welcome to attend.

The summit will facilitate interactions among UC Irvine researchers, community leaders, stakeholders and decision makers. Summit participants will help identify socially meaningful research priorities, important problems and solutions, as well as ways to improve public communication. Through this effort, the summit will foster a more diverse, inclusive and impactful set of partnerships to develop climate solutions to problems facing our local community.

The summit will include two keynote presentations given by Ecology Professor and Chair Kathleen Treseder and Anaheim Councilwoman Kris Murray. The majority of the Summit will consist of breakout sessions in which UC Irvine researchers, community leaders, decision makers and summit attendees will discuss important climate-related problems facing our community. Breakout session topics include oceans, water, energy, land management, education, technology, infrastructure, health, economy, and community. The summit will conclude with a networking reception and poster session showcasing current climate action projects underway.
