Computer refresh will begin Aug. 1 to replace oldest computers

On August 1, IR&C will launch the computer refresh phase of the Technology Asset Management Program, an accelerated project to replace the oldest computers in UCOP departments.
Starting in August, IR&C will begin working with departments to prioritize computers that require replacement. Computers selected for the refresh will be replaced with UCOP’s standard computing bundles, higher-end models that offer many useful features.
The TechDesk staff will demo the computers and answer any questions you may have about the different models on the following dates:
- Tuesday, July 26, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Franklin Building Lobby
- Wednesday, July 27, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 20th Street Building Lobby (near front entrance)
- Wednesday, August 3, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Kaiser Building, Room 1202
