Performance management class series begins in April
UCOP’s Local HR Office of Learning and Development offers a four-class series in performance management that is suitable for seasoned managers and supervisors or anyone who is new to a supervisory role at UCOP.
Performance management is a key component of organizational and individual success. It is a process that should be going on throughout the year to help both employees and their managers determine appropriate competencies and performance standards, goals and expectations.
The class series offers tools to more effectively achieve your desired results, focusing on goal setting, communicating expectations, effective feedback, empowering others, delegation and an effective performance appraisal process.
Classes are scheduled as follows:
- Setting Performance Expectations: Wednesday, April 18, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 12322 Franklin
- Coaching for Improved Performance: Thursday, May 10, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 11326 Franklin
- Conducting Performance Appraisals: Thursday, May 31, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 5320 Franklin
- Developing Employees through Delegation: Thursday, June 28, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 10325 Franklin
Enroll today through the UC Learning Center with your UCOP username and password. Using the SEARCH box on the left, type in the name of the class and click on the UCOP session; click REGISTER next to the class title and SUBMIT.
