Comments are invited on UC anatomical donation policy
As part of its commitment to effectively manage donated anatomical materials and specimens at its medical school campuses, the University of California has updated Policy 110305 on Anatomical Donation/Materials Programs.
The policy covers the acquisition, use and disposition of human anatomical materials used for education and research by faculty, students and researchers at UC medical schools and other campuses.
The UC Anatomical Materials Programs, also referred to as willed or donated body programs, provide a valuable public service by enabling people to donate their bodies to the university for education and training of health professionals and to further scientific and research endeavors.
You can read the proposed policy in its entirety online. Employees who wish to provide comments may submit them to Employee and Labor Relations Manager Michael Lum at Michael.Lum@ucop.edu by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13.
