Thanks from UCOP Pride for Valentine fundraiser success
UCOP Pride sends out a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to and participated in the Valentine’s Day Supply Station fundraiser.
They raised $600 for Lavender Seniors of the East Bay, a non-profit group that provides emotional, physical, legal and social support to elder LGBT residents in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
“We had an absolute blast organizing the event and selling our wares,” said Karin Rice, UCOP Pride co-chair. “We hope to make it an annual celebration and even expand next year to offer more items for sale and set up at Kaiser as well as in the Franklin lobby.”
Don’t forget that UCOP Pride monthly meetings, held the third Wednesday of each month (see the Link calendar for more details), are open to all staff.
UCOP Pride is also planning its June Ice Cream Social, in honor of LGBT Pride Month, in Franklin’s fifth floor rooftop garden. Look for more details in the coming weeks.
