Final workshop on UC undergraduate admissions
The third and final brown bag workshop on preparing to apply for undergraduate admission to the University of California will be held this week, Thursday, Oct. 4, 12 to 1 p.m., in 10325 Franklin.

Sponsored by OP Staff Assembly, the series offered previous sessions on an overview of UC admissions and paying for college. More sessions will be coming up early next year on paying for college, presented by Associate Director of Student Financial Support Nancy Coolidge and open to all UC staff and friends, as follows:
- January 2013: Education tax credits, deductions and savings options and their effects on financial aid eligibility and tax liability for parents and students.
- February 2013: Comparing financial aid awards from different schools and the “real” cost to students and their families, both immediate and over the long term.
- June 2013: Education loan repayment tips for students and parents.
Look for more details on these sessions in the coming months.
