Jan. 17: Nancy Coolidge on student financial support

If you have questions about student financial support at the University of California, check out this series of brown bags presented by Associate Director of Student Financial Support Nancy Coolidge and sponsored by OP Staff Assembly.

The talks are open to UCOP staff, their families and friends and take place Jan. 17, Feb. 5 and May 7, 12 to 1 pm in the Franklin building, as follows:

  • Thursday, Jan. 17, 10325 Franklin, Education Tax Credits, Deductions and Savings Options: Education tax credits, deductions and other savings options and their effects on financial aid eligibility and tax liability for parents and students.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 5, 5320 Franklin, Comparing Financial Aid Awards: Financial aid and the “real” cost of college to students and their families, as well as tips for bringing down the cost of college.
  • Tuesday, May 7, 11326 Franklin, Education Loan Repayment Tips: Choosing a repayment plan and planning for possible public loan forgiveness and other loan cancellation options, as well as options for maximizing credit ratings, despite debt repayment obligations.
