Save the date: Celebrate UC’s natural reserves on Oct. 1 in Oakland

On Oct. 1 from 1–3 p.m., join the UC Natural Reserve System (NRS) and UCOP leadership on the Oakland 5th-floor patio for NRS Day in Oakland!
Discover our 41 reserves and learn how these natural landscapes are helping to conserve California’s diverse plants and animals. Students and researchers will share how they use reserves to advance learning, scientific research and environmental stewardship. Indulge in an array of tasty treats, and get the chance to snag NRS swag as you browse our tables and interactive displays.
Special guest speakers will include UC President Michael V. Drake, M.D.; Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs Katherine S. Newman, Ph.D.; and Vice President of Research & Innovation Theresa Maldonado, Ph.D.
