President’s Leadership Conversations are an opportunity for our community to come together and hear from leaders powering positive change across UC, as well as others who will inspire us through their unique perspectives on business, science, the arts, and more.
Chancellor Hawgood is an Australian native who joined UCSF as a research fellow in the 1980s. He built an international reputation for research that advanced our understanding of the science behind infant respiratory distress and went on to lead UCSF School of Medicine before becoming chancellor in 2014.
Today, Chancellor Hawgood leads a $9.5 billion enterprise at the forefront of biomedical discovery, healthcare, and education — a university that is pioneering new approaches to cancer, neuroscience, genetics, AI, and health equity.
Register to join us in person or via Zoom on Tuesday, September 22, from 2:15 – 3:30 p.m. (PDT). While registering, you’ll have an opportunity to submit questions for Chancellor Hawgood.
