Supervisor/manager orientation (pilot)

This program will provide critical “need to know” information and will help the transition from being an individual contributor to a role as supervisor/manager, using case studies, role play, lecture and a special kickoff by a UCOP manager, who will share their experiences, knowledge and insights into being a successful supervisor/manager at UCOP.

Some of the topics covered will be managing compensation at UCOP, how to effectively recruit and hire, performance management and employee and labor relations basics, in addition to many others.

Local Human Resources encourages the attendance of newly hired or recently promoted supervisors/managers, who have responsibilities managing a staff, program and/or function. Existing supervisors/managers are welcome to attend.

Lunch is provided.
