We all have family obligations that require time and energy. Whether parenting children still at home, supporting kids in college, assisting adult children, or caring for aging parents, everyone can benefit from the support of community. The OP affinity group Family Resource Network offers support, advice and resources to all UCOP staff members who are balancing work and family obligations.

Family Resource Network has sponsored or co-sponsored (with other UCOP affinity groups) a number of events related to family: Brown bags with experts, volunteer events at Oakland schools, a back-to-school supplies drive, and Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

Now Family Resource Network is recommitting itself to supporting families at UCOP and in the Oakland community. Check out our new webpage and new logo!

We’ve been brainstorming about activities we could sponsor for the upcoming winter season and would love your input. And if you find that you’d like to get even more involved, we’re also seeking new members to join the steering committee.
