New security verification on UCPath begins Sept. 23
UCPath has launched a new feature to further protect and verify your identity — personalized security questions and answers.
When you answer the questions correctly, UCPath will know it’s really you. This increases your security against unauthorized access or changes to your financial, health benefits and personal information in UCPath.
To set up your security questions and answers, visit UCPath and go to Employee Actions > Security Question Setup. Answers must be at least four characters and are not case sensitive. Also, they should be easy enough for you to remember — but difficult for someone else to guess or find out online.
This change is another precaution UC is taking to safeguard your UC benefit accounts.
Beginning Sept. 23, you will be required to verify your identity by answering one of your security questions when you view or update the following UCPath information:
- Direct deposit
- Paycheck
- W-2
- W-4 (state and federal)
- Benefits summary
- Dependent coverage
- Life events/benefits changes
- Enroll in benefits
- Personal information
To learn more, review the UCPath Security Questions Job Aid.
