Back-to-school supplies drive for ASCEND school

Help out by buying and donating school supplies for students at Oakland’s ASCEND K-8 school. This drive is sponsored by the Asian Pacific Islander Staff Association (APISA), the OP Professional Community (OPPC) and the Family Resource Network (FRN).

Just buy and bring in one or more of the school supplies from the list below. (New/unopened items only, please.) Donation boxes will be set up in the Franklin building on all floors, near the elevators and in the lobby. At the Kaiser building, the donation box will be located on the 6th floor near the elevators.

Items that are needed:

Pencils and pens
Colored pencils
Whiteboard markers in all colors
Regular markers (like Crayola)
Highlighters
Copy paper
Post-It notes
3×5 index cards
Staplers and staples
Clear tape and dispensers
Two-pocket folders
Clear sheet protectors
Hand sanitizer
Kleenex
Clorox wipes
Blue masking tape
