BSFO’s COVID-19 “We Need to Talk” Series

The Black Staff and Faculty Association (BSFO) is honored to have Dr. Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, PhD, MD, MAS (UCSF) join us on Wednesday, May 6 from 11:00-11:30am for our second COVID-19 “We Need to Talk” Zoom series.

Topic: Dr. Bibbins-Domingo will discuss how UCSF is addressing COVID-19’s health disparities in underserved populations, and her role as the committee chair of UCSF’s recently launched Health Atlas, which is an interactive population health mapping website that curates publicly available data and visualizes it at the census tract level.

The presentation begins at 11:00am and will run for 30 minutes.

 

Biography

Dr. Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, PhD, MD, MAS is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Professor of Medicine. She is a general internist, cardiovascular disease epidemiologist, and the inaugural Vice Dean for Population Health and Health Equity in the UCSF School of Medicine. Dr. Bibbins-Domingo co-founded the UCSF Center for Vulnerable Populations at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, which is a research center focused on discovery, implementation, policy, advocacy, and community engagement for communities at risk for poor health and inadequate healthcare.  She has particular interest in patterns of poor health at younger ages and in racial and ethnic minority populations.
