BSFO’s COVID-19 “We Need to Talk” Webinar

Presenter: Kimi Watts-Tartt, Director Alameda County Public Health Dept. will discuss COVID-19 impacts within Alameda County’s African American community, and other vulnerable “essential” ethnic populations.
Kimi Watkins-Tartt serves as Director of the Alameda County Public Health Department. In this capacity she provides overall direction and planning and leads the department’s work in its pursuit of Health Equity in Alameda County and a Culture of Equity within the Department. Ms. Watkins-Tartt has worked for over 25 years within the local public health community in the areas of public health administration, policy development, and community health planning. She has held many roles within Alameda County Public Health including Deputy Public Health Director and Director of the Department’s Community Health Services Division.
Ms. Watkins-Tartt has a long standing passion and commitment to health equity and social justice, is a founding member and current Co-Chair of the Bay Area Regional Health Inequities Initiative (BARHII) and serves as Vice Chair of the Health Equity and Social Justice Committee of the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO).
