UCOP volunteer event @ City Slicker Farms

OPPC is partnering with Oakland’s City Slicker Farms (CSF) to help support a local food-production system. Volunteers from UCOP will help prepare for CSF’s October Harvest Festival by installing drip irrigation systems, creating plant beds, turning soil, planting, mixing in the fertilizer, decorating for the fest and more at CSF’s new site! Participants will enjoy a guided tour of the facility and learn more about this Oakland community resource.

President Napolitano has given approval for UCOP employees to volunteer for up to four hours per month, provided that they receive prior approval from their supervisor.
