Kaiser’s Preston Maring shares his cooking secrets with UCOP
Don’t miss your final opportunity this year to spend an hour with Preston Maring, M.D., founder of the Kaiser Permanente Farmers’ Market program, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 12 to 1 p.m. in 712 Kaiser.
A physician and surgeon in obstetrics and gynecology, Maring helped start an innovative neurosurgery unit for children at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center.
His other great passions in life are healthy food, healthy cooking and healthy eating. He started a website and blog to share recipes and cooking tips, and he has worked on bringing healthy, local food to hospital trays and cafeterias.
Check out some of his YouTube videos offering a wide range of recipes and tips for shopping and planning a healthy diet. Better yet, join Dr. Maring in person at UCOP this Wednesday. Be sure to arrive early as space is limited.
The event is sponsored by Wellness at UCOP.
