Roll up your sleeve and give: blood drive coming to OP
The American Red Cross blood supply for Northern California has reached critical lows, with 50,000 fewer donations than expected in June and half the readily available blood on hand compared with this time last year.
The Red Cross is calling on all eligible blood donors to roll up a sleeve and give as soon as possible. All blood types are needed, but especially O positive, O negative, B negative and A negative, in order to meet patient demand this summer.
Giving blood is easy when the bloodmobile comes to UCOP on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be parked in front of the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) building on 11th St., between Franklin and Webster, from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.
